One of the many complaints often made about churches today is that there is very little actual in-depth Bible preaching and teaching done.  That's a shame.  The Bible is the mind and will of God revealed to us through the men he inspired.  What could be more important than to become intimately familiar with what God has said?  

Notice what the psalmist said in Psalm 1:

¹ "Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
    Nor stands in the path of sinners,
    Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
² But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
    And in His law he meditates day and night.
³ He shall be like a tree
    Planted by the rivers of water,
    That brings forth its fruit in its season,
    Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper."

We at the North Gardendale church take the study of God's word seriously.  Each Sunday is filled with preaching from the Bible and with various classes where the Bible is opened and read and taught with a focus on application to our lives today.  We also meet in the middle of the week on Wednesday night for another opportunity to study together.  There are also two ladies' Bible classes and two men's Bible classes that meet throughout the week.
